A Living History

Founded in 326 AD during the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Lingyin Temple has been destroyed and rebuilt multiple times throughout its long history. The current structures date mainly from the Qing Dynasty (1644-1912).

The temple complex covers over 87 hectares and includes multiple halls, pagodas, and the famous Feilai Peak grottoes with their ancient Buddhist carvings.

Today, it remains an active place of worship where monks continue daily rituals, making it both a historical site and a living spiritual center.
